TOY BRAND CONCEPT
B★D - The Collectible Toy brand of my dreams. Inspired by a futuristic y2k grunge style, with the audience being adult collectors. The possibility of making this brand a reality is an exciting future prospect. Concepts were sketched, styled, and Imagined by me. The name is B★D because the brand challenges societal norms, "bad" as in "baddies" (the purchasing demographic), and because breaking rules is in the nature of the brand.
The packaging for the Star Series Dolls will be colored Semi-translucent "Jelly" PVC in the shape of a star with a zipper opening. Each doll in this line would be alien-inspired and travels from the store to your home in a shooting star. Each alien girl will be a unique color - with the star packaging to match. There is also a possibility of adding a removable purse strap or keychain that would make storage, traveling, and showing-off your doll fun and safe. This packaging is display-worthy and practical to what real collectors would want.
STAR SERIES
The first doll in this line is "Xena", a EXTRA-terrestrial girl with the most micro of shorts and bangs. She is pink like the color of her packaging and is articulated in a cute pose to fit inside the star. Each Star / girl would be a new color and positioned in a unique pose. The poses are an extra detail that most doll manufacturers don't implement. While it would make manufacturing and packing slightly more complicated, the end result is worth it to feel less like a coffin and more like a studio set.

COLLECTOR'S CARD
Each toy comes with a collector's card that well-known doll brands also have to serve as collectable memorabilia and authentication. These would include the original the 2D doll/toy sketch, the number of limited release, and fun details that stands out from competitors.

AI mockups (created with ChatGPT and Gemini) of my packaging and doll concept provides a more realistic and almost tactile view of what the product could look like. While it isn't exactly how the sketch and manufacturing will look, it provides key insight and helps imagine the real product materials before prototypes are created.The mockup was taken into Photoshop and slight details were altered like eye shape, star on the t-shirt etc.

The future of the Star Series (Series 1) is more EXTRA-terrestrial dolls with unique colors and packaging. Each doll will have unique poses inspired by Y2K cyber-pop. Star antennas will also be a uniting feature the Star Series dolls will have. The sketches shown above are just a glance at some inspiration sparking.
Beyond the Star Series, plans for more human-looking dolls with the same aesthetic and different packaging will be next. You can expect unique articulated body shapes and sizes that aren't represented in today's toy market. Seeing dolls that have unique sizes fights the social norms and beauty standards that both people and dolls have today.
