BETTA BOYS

I created "Betta Boys" in an Intaglio Printmaking class in college. This technique involves a metal plate to etch, and acid to "tint". The Metal plate is then heated and covered in ink, cleaned, and moved through a printing press over paper. This technique is challenging, time-consuming, and rewarding (and requires professional equipment). I have had pet betta fish throughout my life, and it was also my first pet. I wanted to honor the memory of all of my betta fish that have passed away.
